Surfers Against Sewage in partnership with The Surf Screen, are excited to announce the 2010 tour, supported by Finisterre, of two exciting new surf films:
'Protect Our Waves' a Richard Stewart production, for Surfers Against Sewage in association with the Quiksilver Foundation and the EOG Association for Conservation.
An inspirational guide to some of the UK's premiere waves, highlighting the environmental threats facing our coastline today. Beautiful waves surfed by some of the best surfers in the world fused perfectly with stylish animations outlining how surfers can make a stand against the increasing pollution pressures impacting on Britain's surf spots. Be part of the solution, become part of the SAS campaign team in your area.
'Under the Sun' by Emmy award winning film maker Cyrus Sutton
Mesmerising surfing from Dave Rastovich, Mick Fanning, Nat and Beau Young; provides an exciting backdrop to an insightful exploration of surfing's different faces. The Gold Coast and Byron Bay on the East coast of Australia, close geographically, but far ideologically, represent the dichotomy of modern surf culture, but is there really the vast divide we might think?
The films are to be screened as a double feature across the country, with the generous assistance of Surfers Against Sewage representatives, providing a platform for inspiration and education.
25% of profits go to supporting Surfers Against Sewage, with a further 25% going to sustain independent surf film production through The Surf Screen's production fund.
