I hope you are all getting your fix from the Septemeber swells, there have been sneeky waves to be had all over and the sunshine has returned, finally.
Big Friday are hosting a screening of Picaresque at the Oakley store on the 30th of September. This is a classice, yet very stylish surf 'porn' type flick with endless amounts of gratuitous, beautifully shot, surfing from Mikey de Temple and crew.
The Roxy Bar and Screen are continuing their most excellent support of The Surf Screen's activities, by hosting a screening of the amazing 'Under The Sun', by emmy award winning film maker Cyrus Sutton. The film will be screened on October 6th, doors open from 7pm, with the screening starting at 8pm. Charges are £3 on the door. These events are usually pretty busy as both the venue and films are great (always lots of fun to be had), so if you want to resereve a seat, it might be an idea to club together with some mates and book a table for food, prior to the screening. I hope to be screening some films in October in Cornwall, but for now, activity is confined to London, during this period.
Rememeber that early Novemeber (Sat 7th) is Board Shorts at The Stannery, Tremough Campus, Penryn, Cornwall. This amazing event regularly attracts over 500 folk, so buy your tickets early.
