We are screening Allan Wilson's (aka Lucky Squirrel Club) film, 'Hello' on friday 3rd of April at the Carnmarth Hotel in Newquay , from 7:30 pm, £4 on the door.
Allan's film captures the stoke that we all pick up when riding waves and profiles a crew of fun loving, dynamic bodyboarders, who can't get enough of those slab sucking, bone grinding, thick lipped beauties, that most of us sain folk would leave well alone.
Allans film starts with a hilarious opening sequence and keeps this playful vibe running throughout. There is some great footage of Ireland and amazing Australia, even a sneaky bit of Cornwall with the focus on quality waves and beautiful imagery cut to an energising soundtrack.
The European premiere of 'Hello' on the big screen, will be accompanied by Mark Vangorph's 'House of cards', Sam Buckle's 'I try stupid things', previews of Martin Yelland's 'Postcodes' and work from Sam Werkmiester.
How often do you have the opportunity to see a bodyboarding film on the big screen, with great sound, in a venue as good as the Carnmarth?
This is an event, not to be missed!
The British film makers (mentioned above), will be present on the night and Allan will be available to answer questions on this blog, after the screening. So think of some questions, or just let him know what you liked about Hello, he'll be stoked to hear from you.
'Hello' is being distributed by 'The Surf Screen' and we will be offering limited copies of the DVD in Allan's unique hand made packaging, to you at a very special price, only on the night of the premiere, first come, first served! (sign up to the email newsletter for further details). If you miss out, you will still be able to get the film on DVD (as long as we have not sold out!) from such fine retailers as Surf Hog, Magicseaweed and A1 Surf.

I agree, Allan's material is up there with the best. His work with Mickey Smith on Revolution was amazing and this runs in the same vein. On the big screen, it's going to blow minds!

The feedback has been rolling in:'Hello'. I think it's awesome, and is one of my fave bodyboard films for sure. We all had a great night....Martin Yelland.
I think Martin's view sums up the general consensus, Hello was a big hit!!
The night panned out really well, despite a few technical glitches, we were all inspired by different perspectives from four very different film makers (Sam, Mark, Martin and of course Allan).
Thanks to the disciple crew in particular for their faith, we got there in the end!

Thanks for making such a great film Allan. The skit with the frog and squirrel is genius, it's always so good to see a film with a sense of humour.
I really like the special packaging you created, much better than all that plastic.
